You can quickly create a quote for a potential customer at any time without saving them in your customer list. If the prospect accepts your quote, you can save them as a customer at that time.
To create a quote for a prospect:
- Access the quotes list.
Sales > Sales quotes
- the quote.
- Fill in the mandatory information in the header.
Provide information about the prospect for at least the Business name and the Country. - a product/service line.
- Select a product/service.
- Complete and adjust the necessary information for each field in the products and services item line.
- You can add further optional information in the additional sales quote tabs:
Totals and discounts: You can add an individual discount for the prospect;
Notes: These can either be internal to your business or shared with the prospect (external);
Customer information: You can optionally add further details about the prospect here. - Save.
The quote is created with the status Pending.
If the prospect accepts the quote, you can register them as a customer when you generate the order.
If the prospect refuses this quote, you can decline the quote and record a reason for refusal.
