Cancelling your Sage Active subscription


You have the option to cancel your Sage Active subscription at any time should you decide to do so.

The cancellation period for your Sage Active subscription is at least 30 days from the date that you request cancellation. Cancellation will then take effect on the next effective date as per your terms and conditions.

There are multiple ways to cancel your subscription, depending on your legislation and contract:

  • By using the Manage business account option under your business name in the top menu.
  • By contacting Sage if you do not see the Manage business account option in the top menu (only for France and Spain).

To cancel your subscription, you must log in as the business owner or have relevant permissions to manage subscriptions.

  1. Select your business name, then select Manage business account from the top menu.
  2. Open the Subscriptions tab.
    Here you can view your current subscriptions.
  3. Select Manage subscriptions.
  4. Select Cancel subscription on the relevant product.
  5. Select Apply selections.
  6. Read the information carefully, then Select the reason for cancellation.
  7. Tick the box to confirm you have downloaded any required data.
    Data availability
    Your data remains available until the last day of the contract period. At the end of the contract, your access to Sage Active and the data will be permanently blocked and the existing data will be deleted after 6 months.
  8. Select Cancel Subscription.
    The Manage subscriptions screen updates to show the subscription end date and the resubscribe option.
  9. Choose Back to product to return to your product.

To restart your subscription, log in and enter your payment details.

Cancelling by contacting Sage (Only for France and Spain)

If you do not see the Manage business account option, you need to contact Sage to cancel your subscription.
Depending on your legislation, you can cancel your subscription in the ways described below.

Data availability
Your data remains available until the last day of the contract period. At the end of the contract, your access to Sage Active and the data will be permanently blocked and the existing data will be deleted after 6 months.
If you want to restart your subscription, you can also contact us by the means described below.

French legislation

By creating a cancellation request in Sage Active:

  1. Access the personalised help.

    Help > Help Centre > Get personalised help

  2. Create a new request detailing the reasons of your cancellation.

Spanish legislation

By phone: You can call our customer service on +(34) 919 16 17 17. The team are available to assist you with any questions that you have.

    • September to June: Monday to Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
    • July and August: Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
