Customising PDF files for sales documents


You can customise the look of the documents created when you email your sales documents as PDF files to your customers.

To customise your PDF files:

  1. Access your documents settings:

    Setting > Sales and purchases – Document preferences

  2. Choose the location for the Business logo, Business details, Customer address and Product or service description by selecting the radio button underneath each element.
    You can see the changes in the Document preview.

    Your choices apply to all document types.
  3. Choose the Colour scheme for each document type.
  4. Upload a Business logo (maximum size 200 KB) to appear on all of your documents.
  5. Add a Personalised introduction text for one or more document types.
  6. Specify which product or service details to display on each document type: CodeNameDescription, or any combination of these.
    You have the option to include or omit pricing information on Delivery notes.
  7. Choose a personalised footer text.
    If you enter text in both the Sales invoice final notes for a customer and the Final notes for the Footer details, a combination of both texts appears in the sales invoice. 
  8. Use the preview button to visualise examples for each document type.
  9. Save the changes.
