If you do not have access to your 2FA device temporarily, you can still log in using your 24-digit recovery code or recovery method.
Log in using your recovery code
Your 24-digit recovery code is given to you when you set up 2FA. If you do not have it, follow the steps for if you’ve lost your recovery code.
- Log in to your product.
- Select Verify a different way instead.
- Select Recovery code.
- Enter your 24-digit recovery code and select Continue.
- Copy your new recovery code and keep it safe. Discard the one you just used.
- Select the check box next to I have saved my recovery code, then Continue.
You are now logged in to your product.
Log in if you’ve lost your recovery code
When you set up 2FA, you also selected a recovery method. Use this option to generate a new 24-digit recovery code.
- Log in to your product.
- Select Verify a different way instead.
- Select Use your recovery method.
- Check your recovery method for a 6-digit code.
- Enter the 6-digit code and select Continue.
- Select Generate recovery code.
- Copy your new recovery code and keep it safe. Discard the one you just used.
- Select the check box next to I have saved my recovery code, then Continue.
You are now logged in to your product.
