Creating terms for payment in three instalments


The application comes with several payment terms that you can take inspiration from to add more. When you create payment conditions, you can for example set the specific day for the payment to take place. In this example, the second due date is forced to 3 possible dates.

To create terms for a payment in three instalments:

  1. Access the Payment terms.

    Configuration > Third party – Payment terms

  2. Add the payment terms (Create).
  3. Enter a Name.
    The Payment method and Payment days can be entered when adding the instalments.
    Start by adding the first deadline.

Adding the first deadline

  1. Add the first deadline (+ Add).
    The details for the payment deadline are shown.
  2. In the Type field, select Percentage.
  3. Enter the value 30.
    During this first deadline, 30% of the amount must be paid.
  4. In Days after invoice date, fill in the number of days until the first instalment.
    For example, 0 to indicate that the first instalment must be paid on the invoice issue date.
  5. Open the Advanced configuration.
  6. Do not select any Payment days.
  7. Select a Payment method.
  8. Confirm.
    The 1st due date is displayed.
    You can add a second deadline.

 

Adding the second deadline

  1. Add the second deadline (+ Add).
    The details for the payment deadline are shown.
  2. In the Type field, select Percentage.
  3. Enter the value 30.
    During this second deadline, 30% of the amount must be paid.
  4. In Days after invoice date, fill in the number of days until the second instalment.
    For example, 15 to indicate that the second instalment can theoretically be paid 15 days after the invoice issue date.
  5. Open the Advanced configuration.
    You will force the payment day on 3 dates:
  6. In Payment days, add 3 possible payment days:
    • Select 20, 15 and 10.
      The payment of the second instalment must theoretically be made 15 days after the invoice issue date, but it will actually take place on the 10th, 15th or 20th of the month.

  7. Select a Payment method.
  8. Confirm.
    The 2nd due date is displayed
    You can add the third and final deadline.

Adding the third deadline

  1. Add the third deadline.
    The details for the payment deadline are shown.
  2. In the Type field, select Remaining amount because it is the final deadline.
  3. In Days after invoice date, fill in the number of days until the third instalment.
    For example, 45 to indicate that the last instalment must be paid 45 days after the invoice issue date.
    You will add End of month as a payment day.
  4. Open the Advanced configuration.
  5. In Payment days, select End of month.
    The payment of the third instalment must theoretically be made 45 days after the invoice issue date, but it will actually take place on the last day of the month of the theoretical date.

  6. Select a Payment method.
  7. Confirm.
    The 3rd due date is displayed.
