Year-end closing

Your accountant has generated your balance sheet and your tax return. After acceptance by the DGFiP, you can close your fiscal year.

You have:
  • created a new fiscal year beforehand.
  • matched the entries for the current fiscal year.
Non-matched and partially matched entries are carried forward to the next fiscal year.
After closing, you will not be able to modify, delete or add entries for the closed fiscal year.

To close the fiscal year:

  1. Access the Year-end closing.

    Processing > Year-end closing

  2. Select the opening account.
  3. Preview the carry-forward entries.
You can also generate these entries as temporary entries as many times as you wish (Simulate entry). These entries will allow you to:

    • evaluate the financial consequences of certain decisions.
    • identify possible errors or inconsistencies which could be problematic.

You will find these temporary entries in the entries (Accounting > Journal entries) of the carry-forward journal.

  4. Close the fiscal year.
