Update your email address


Here’s how you can update the business owner details and any user email addresses.

Change email address

With a Sage account, you will access most of your products and services using the same email address and password. Your email address will update automatically for most Sage products and services.

To change your email address:

  1. Select Profile, then My profile from the drop-down menu in the upper right-hand corner.
  2. Select Change your details.
  3. Select Change your Sage account details. This will open the Sage account management page in a new tab.
  4. Log in to Sage account management and then select Email address.
  5. Enter and confirm your new email address and then select Continue.
  6. We’ll send a verification code to your new email address. Enter the code and then select Continue.
    If you cannot find the verification email, check your spam or junk email folders.
  7. Log in again using your new email address and password.
  8. A success message shows to confirm the change.

Some products use your email address to link to other services. It can take a few days for your email address to change everywhere.

Did not receive the verification email

Select Didn’t get a code? Resend code to resend the code.

If you still have not received the email, it could be because:

  • Emails can take up to 20 minutes to arrive.
  • You received it but it automatically moved to your deleted items, spam or junk folder.
  • You’ve used the wrong email address or made a typo.

Change business owner details

To change the business owner details, you’ll need access to the original email address currently registered as the business owner email address in Sage. To check whether you are registered as a business owner in Accounting, you can check in the user settings.

Change business owner email address

If you have access to the registered business owner email address:

  1. Select Profile, then My profile from the drop-down menu in the upper right-hand corner.
  2. Select Change your details.
  3. Select Change your Sage account details. This will open the Sage account management page in a new tab.
  4. Log in to Sage account management and then select Email address.
  5. Enter the current business owner email address and password and then select Log in.
  6. Enter and confirm your new email address and then select Continue.
  7. We’ll send a verification code to your new email address. Enter the code and then select Continue.
  8. Log in again using your new email address and password.
  9. A success message shows to confirm the change.
The email address needs to be an email address not registered as a user to a Sage product.

Change business owner personal details

If you have access to the registered business owner email address:

  1. Select Profile, then My profile from the drop-down menu in the upper right-hand corner.
  2. Select Change your details.
  3. Select Change your Sage account details. This will open the Sage account management page in a new tab.
  4. Log in to Sage account management and then select Personal details.
  5. Edit the personal details and select Submit.
  6. Enter the current business owner email address and password and then select Log in.
  7. A success message shows to confirm the change.
